Liz & Jackie - America's Two Queens!
For decades Elizabeth Taylor and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis were on the front page of every magazine. It was a media manipulation, because the public was led to think that the two of them were either friends or enemies, fought or talked or cheated each other...But they never met or spoke! And when they really met...it was only once and the media was not interested at all! They met in New York in 1976, at a ballet performance of Margot Fonteyn. Both women appeared suddenly in the hallway, almost bumping into each other. Few photos of this encounter have been published...It was surprising, given the fact that the two women dominated the international media, and would continue to do so after their brief encounter...
